QA Engineer

Company: TestySoft

Our firm is seeking a QA Engineer to help ensure the stability, reliability, and quality of our client-facing platform as we prepare for launch. This role is fully remote and offered on a contract basis, with a competitive hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and execute test plans for web-based features and APIs
* Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution using issue tracking tools
* Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
* Perform manual and automated testing to ensure functionality across browsers and devices
* Contribute to the development of automated test suites for regression and smoke testing
* Ensure adherence to quality standards across the development lifecycle
* Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and QA sign-off processes

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* Experience testing modern web applications in an Agile environment
* Familiarity with testing tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar
* Understanding of browser dev tools, HTTP, and basic API testing (e.g. Postman)
* Strong analytical and documentation skills
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting

Nice to Have

* Experience with automated test pipelines (CI/CD)
* Familiarity with Git-based workflows
* Exposure to performance and load testing tools
* Experience with bug tracking systems such as Jira, Linear, or ClickUp
* Understanding of accessibility and usability testing practices

Contract Details

* Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension based on project needs and performance
